Plant my tropical pitcher plant

Plant in a mix of draining material (coarse sand, pozzolanne ...) and blonde peat - not more of 50% of the latter. The roots should always be well ventilated : do not let the pot bathe constantly in a saucer. They make good hanging basket plants: so they will grow more freely and there will be no need to stut them constantly.

Water my tropical pitcher plant

Water regularly in the first weeks. Try to avoid watering on sunny afternoons to minimize the amount of moisture lost to evaporation. If your plant is in a pot, check the top soil in the pot either by looking at it or touching it with your finger. During the winter, let it dry a bit more between waterings. Do NOT use hard water with this one!

Shelter my tropical pitcher plant

You have to shelter or protect this plant for the winter season.

Put outside my tropical pitcher plant

Take your potted plant out right after the last frosts.
